Unseen Knight
A knight sits on his horse
And at a distance, he can see
A mighty kingdom with a mighty army
Ruled by a mighty king, and his beautiful daughter.
As the knight approaches the gates
He sees them open, travelers free to pass.
So he enters, and soon before his eyes
Is a kingdom full of life and joy.
The knight rides through the many streets
In search of the mighty wizard of this kingdom.
As he rides, though,
No one seems to notice him.
Finally, the knight reaches his destination.
He enters the wizard's home
And asks him how to lift the curse.
The wizard replies,
"Even in the darkest of corners,
There is still a light that shines.
Only then will a kiss from your destined mate
Will lift the curse and make you whole once again."
Then, after night has fallen,
The knight enters the castle
And into the room of the princess.
As he approaches her
He sees her in deep slumber
And so decides to let her sleep.
As the sun rises
And light floods the room
The princess awakens
And looks about her chamber.
Soon the princess stands on her feet
And leaves her chamber.
She almost brushes the knight
But never notices him.
Every night the knight stays by her side
And awaits for her to awaken
And to see him
While it is still dark.
And to this very day
The Unseen Knight seeks his love
And then waits for her to finally see him once again.
