Legend of the Universal Guardians:
Delwynndwn's Beginning

Delwynndwn Siele was born on the 13th day of the 3rd moon many centuries ago. He was born in an age when elves, dwarves, dragons, and other "mythical" species had existed. Delwynndwn was the son of Conanalaught Siele, a High Elf priest, and [unknown name], a Sylvan Elf ranger. Delwynndwn spent his early childhood learning from his parents. From hos father, he learned how to cast magic and the secrets of healing. From his mother, he learned skills of survival and how to speak with animals. However, Delwynndwn had always displayed signs of possible inate abilities.
One of the first of Delwynndwn's inate abilities that first showed was his ability to sense the presence of his loved ones. [unknown name] was the first to notice this. She was teaching Delwynndwn how to track, and as a way to test his skill in tracking, she had him track her. She took special care to cover her tracks at various points and to create decoy tracks to throw Delwynndwn off. She took such care doing this that she knew that even she would have a hard time tracking herself! yet, with very little effort, Delwynndwn found his mother. She tried this many times, but Delwynndwn still found her with relative ease. [unknown name] then included Conanalaught in her son's tests, making Delwynndwn find both of his parents. Yet, he was able to find them both with little effort.
The second inate ability is more of a power than an ability. Conanalaught was the one to discover it. For some reason, an assasin tried to kill Conanalaught. Though the assasin failed, he did manage to thrust his katana through Delwynndwn's torso, mortally wounding him. After the assasin was slain by [unknown name], Conanalaught, believing his son was dead, began to perform a grant life spell. However, he only managed to mutter out a few words when he realized that Delwynndwn was still breathing! Upon further inspection, Conanalaught discovered that Delwynndwn had also stopped bleeding! Soon, Delwynndwn regained consciousnous and got back on his feet. When Delwynndwn was standing there Conanalaught saw that his son's wound was smaller! By evening, the wound was gone, and there wasn't even a scar left! Delwynndwn had, as both of his parents discovered, a greatly accelerated rate of healing. However, Delwynndwn's greatest inate ability was yet to come.
It wasn't until later on in Delwynndwn's childhood when his greatest inate ability was realized. Delwynndwn had been training with a family friend, a human samurai. Delwynndwn was returning home one day when a storm brewed overhead. It soon began to rain. Fortunately, Delwynndwn was under the cover of the forest, so his weapons wouldn't get too wet. Delwynndwn was in an eye-shot of his home when a bolt of lightning came down, passing all the trees, and struck Delwynndwn. Oddly enough, Delwynndwn was hardly phased. He was surprised by the zap, but at the same time felt energized. A few more bolts struck Delwynndwn in quick succession, each not touching any trees like the first bolt. Feeling very energized, Delwynndwn decided to practicewhat he had learned so far.
Delwynndwn started off by performing a basic charging slash. At the end of the move though, Delwynndwn was shocked at how quickly he had performed the move. He then practiced a few more moves, much more complex though. Again, he was amazed with his new found agility. After a while Delwynndwn stopped practicing. At that point, Delwynndwn remebered a myth in which some people had the ability to summon energy, focus it, and shoot it at the opponent. So Delwynndwn thought that he might give it a try.
Delwynndwn croutched down slightly and held his fists straight out in front of him, with his elbows on his hips. He started to concentrate. He concentrated on directing his energy to his hands. Soon he felt the flow of electrical energy surging throughout his body, flowging into his arms and collecting in his hands. Delwynndwn opened his hands and the electrical energy began to collect in to a ball between them. Delwynndwn concentrated more, and soon sparks of of electrical energy swirled around his arms, while the ball between his hands grew larger.
"Rrrrrrgh! I've got to shoot it off!" Delwynndwn concentrated on shooting the ball of energy. Nothing happened. The strain was beginning to be too much for him. Then something clicked in his head.
"Aaarrrgh!" the strain was almost unbearable.
     "Lightning BLAST!!"
The electrical energy shot forth in a swirling pillar. It hit a tree and exploded with a brilliant light. Chips of wood flew everywhere. The tree fell vertically, landed on its stump, then started to tilt over. The sound of branches breaking and leaves ripping could be heard as the tree fell over. Finally, the tree landed with a loud thud.
"Wow..." Delwynndwn said, looking at his hands. Then he      looked up at the fallen tree.
"Shit! What the fuck have I done?!" He realized that he just killed an innocent living organism. He fell to his knees, almost about to weep. Delwynndwn then looked up and looked at the tree again.
"Seeds!" Delwynndwn stood up and drew his long sword. He held it up in the air, the tip pointing to the sky.
"I have damaged the earth, and now I must right my wrong. I must plant the seeds where this mighty tree once stood." Delwynndwn looks at the stump.
"Lightning..." he swings down at the stump, "STRIKE!!"
As he hit the stump with his sword, a powerful bolt of lightning struck it. The stump exploded into hundreds of chips of wood. All that remained was a hole in the ground. Delwynndwn then gathered as many seeds as he could from the tree and planted them in the hole. He then tried to cover the hole the best he could with whatever soil was available. Afterwards, Delwynndwn continued home. Though unknown to Delwynndwn, his father, Conanalaught, witnessed the entire ordeal. Delwynndwn had the ability to control one of the para-elementals: Lightning!

The next few years passes without incidence. Delwynndwn reached adult maturity at an early age. He had also finished his training with the samurai, and has even begun to become better than his teacher. However, Delwynndwn had no clue what the future held for him. He had no idea of the responsibilities that he would soon have to bear.

Legions of undead have begun to rise and attack several outlying villages. The kingdom of Guardia had dispatched its troops to deal with the threat, but the undead continued to rise up and attack. Soon, the scourge of undead to close in on Guardia. It wasn't long untill the undead would advance through Delwynndwn's home village.
Yet, it happened all too soon. Without warning, hoards of undead overran Delwynndwn's village. All the villagers tried as much as they could to defend their home. Conanalaught was near the front lines, both healing fallen comrades and destroying the undead with his curative spells. [unknown name] was perched atop a tree, striking the undead with arrows tipped with holy water. Delwynndwn was on the front lines, utilizing the powers of lightning.
"Lightning BLAST!!" Five skeltons shatter into tiny bits.
"Lightning STRIKE!!" A skeltal knight explodes along with its horse. Then Delwynndwn zipped around smashing several more skeltons.
"Delwynndwn! Over here! Hurry!" Conanalaught cried out. Delwynndwn cut down two zombies with a single swipe before looking in the direction of the call for help. As soon as Delwynndwn saw his father surrounded by zombies and a few skeletal warriors, he began running toward them. Once Delwynndwn attained his maximum speed without lightning, he leaped into the air, turned the opposite direction, and point the palms of his hand to the ground.
"Lightning Blast!" Delwynndwn yelled out while in mid-flight. The blast tore up the ground, but at the same time hurtling Delwynndwn through the air towards his father. Delwynndwn barely made it over the zombies and landed next to his father.
"Delwynndwn," Conanalaught said, "I don't think we can take all of them on. There's just too many!"
"Maybe this might help," Delwynndwn replied. "Lightning Wall..." A wall of electrical energy appears in front of Delwynndwn.
"...SURROUND!!" The wall turns into a bubble that completely surrounds both Delwynndwn and his father. Then, with his fists clenched, Delwynndwn crosses his arms in front of his face. Then all at the same time, Delwynndwn threw his arms out to the sides, unclenched his fists, and cried out, "EXPAND!!"
The lightning bubble began to grow. As it expanded in size, and undead in the way was disintegrated by the electrical energy. After several hundred undead were destroyed, the bubble had grown so large that it could no longer support itself. It then dissipated into the air.
     "I stand corrected," Conanalaught stated.

"I'm surprising even myself.  I didn't think I could do that!" Delwynndwn replied.

"Well, you're surprising more than yourself my son."  He fires off a powerful healing at a nearby group of undead.  The spell exploded in a powerfull, bright light, obliterating most of the group.  "Shall we return to more ass kicking?"

"Sounds like a..." Delwynndwn started to reply.  However, he caught something out of the corner of his eye.  "Oh shit."

"What?"  Conanalaught asked as he turned toward where his son was looking at.  "Oh bloody hell..."

[unknown name] and the others who were proficient with bows were staying back, deep within the village.  They had been shooting arrows that had been dipped in curative potions at the advancing undead army.

When Delwynndwn used his lightning wall to destroy most of the undead army, the wall passed through everyone in the village without causing any of them harm.  Several of them climbed up on top of some of the houses to see where the dome of lightning had come from.  [unknown name] was one of the first ones to get atop the roof of a house and see where the phenomenon had come from.  She stood up on the roof of the house just in time to see Conanalaught destroy the last large group of undead remaining.

Then she saw the two of them look out to the horizon at something.  She traced their line of site, trying to find what they were looking at.  She saw that the horizon was brighter than the rest of the area.  At first, she thought that it was the sun setting in the west.  The she noticed that her shadow was in front of her.  She was facing east.  [unknown name] quickly turned around, and saw the sun setting in the horizon in the west.  She turned back to the east, and realized what she was looking at.

It was fire.

"Wait a minute," Delwynndwn said.  "Didn't it rain last night?"

"Yes, it did.  I was awakened by the thunder.  It seemed to be a pretty nasty storm too."

"Yeah, it was, though I think it was more beautiful."  Delwynndwn kneeled to the ground and felt the earth.  "It's still wet..."

"Um... son... you should look at this a little more closely," Conanalaught said in a startled way.

"Why's that?  I think we've pretty much established that it's magical f..."

"It's not spreading.  It's... they... they are walking... towards the village!"

"You've got to be kid..."  Delwynndwn begins as he stands up and examines the horizon more closely.  "Oh bloody fuck..."   Out in a distance, he could see the flames.  However, they've moved even closer.  Delwynndwn could now see that they were human-like figures.  However, upon closer inspection, he realized that they too were undead.

"In think now would be a good time to run," Conanalaught said.

"I'm in full agreement Dad."  Just then, a very long row of little flames shot up into the sky, then began to plummet, falling straight towards them.  "Merde!!  Let's go!"

And so they ran, back into the village.

[unknown name] saw the tiny flames rise up and fall towards her husband and child.  'Arrows lit with magical fire,' she thought to herself.  Fortunately, Delwynndwn and Conanalaught began running just in time, since the arrow fell just short of their target.

However, as the arrows hit the ground, the flames burst forth, and spread forth like wild fire.  Not only did the flames spread across the ground, they rose up to as high as the buildings as themselves.

Seeing the immediate threat of this, [unknown name] shouted out orders for everyone else to prepare for the next barrage.  However, it was too late, for as she looked back up, another barrage of flaming arrows began their arc towards the village.

Delwynndwn looked up just in time to see the second barrage of arrows flying overhead, towards the village.  "Shit!  They're cutting off our escape route!"

"Forget about that right now!  They're flanking us!  Look!!"  Conanalaught points to his right.

Delwynndwn looks over, and at a distance he could see burning skeletons, wielding swords, charging towards the village.  Delwynndwn looked back towards the village, only to see flames roaring from the other side of it.  Everyone, including himself and his father, were trapped.  Starting to lose hope, Delwynndwn began to slow down, and soon fell behind his father.

Conanalaught saw his son starting to trail behind.  Thus, he called back to him, "Don't give up!  You still have your powers!!"

Delwynndwn looked up, and began to run faster.  Just then, a flaming arrow flew past him and into his father's back, piercing through his heart.  Delwynndwn began to stop, but his father urged him to keep going.  But before Conanalaught could finish what he was saying, another arrow landed on top of his headm shattering his skull.  Blood and brain matter spilled forth, as three more flaming arrows pierced through his body.  His entire body was set aflame within a matter of seconds as it fell limp to the ground.

Delwynndwn stopped and looked at the corpse in horror.  His father was gone.  There was nothing he could do to save him.  Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw that the flaming skeletons had reached the village, and were slaughtering all who remained in it.  Suddenly, he noticed a figure on one of the roofs.  It was his mother, and she continued to fight.  However, she was fighting more ferociously than ever before.
